John Zappala, PT, MPT is in his 12th year of treating as a licensed physical therapist. He earned his Bachelor degree in Biology from the University of Delaware in 1997. He later received his Master degree in Physical Therapy from UMDNJ/Rutgers in 2001. His experience includes practicing in the homecare setting where he treated patients with various neurological diagnoses and help return them to their previous functional level.
He has also been employed by two outpatient physical therapy offices before opening Live Well Physical Therapy. The latter, a privately owned practice, for three years where he experienced all aspects of running a successfully owned physical therapy office. John has had success treating various populations from geriatrics to competitive athletes including both high school and college aged. He has been coaching adolescent athletes for the past four years including Travel soccer, baseball and basketball. He has developed sport specific plyometric training programs.

Heather Zappala, PT, MPT is in her 12th year of treating as a licensed physical therapist. She received her undergraduate degree in Corporate Fitness from the College of New Jersey in 1998. She then went on to receive a Master degree in Physical Therapy from UMDNJ/Rutgers in 2001. Following graduation, Heather accepted a rotating position at JFK Medical Center. Over the next 3 years, she rotated through several departments including Brain Trauma, Acute Care, Outpatient, Day Rehabilitation and Pain Management. During her time at JFK, she specialized in Neurological Rehabilitation and treated a wide variety of stroke patients. She also gained a lot of experience with wounds and treating vestibular patients. Her current experience focuses on post-operative orthopedic patients, including total hips and knees.
Jennifer Norton PT, DPT, CLT-LANA, graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts with a Bachelor’s Degree in Rehabilitation Science in 2000 and Master’s Degree of Science in Physical Therapy in 2002. She received her Doctorate Degree from University of Medicine and Dentistry in 2007. As a licensed physical therapist in New Jersey she has been employed at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute, Edison, NJ and Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, NJ. Jennifer provides outpatient physical therapy services for patients with various diagnoses. For the past eight years she has developed a special interest in women’s health and treats patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, cancer rehabilitation and lymphedema.
